Our privacy policy is exceptionally simple. We collect very little confidential
information and we never share or sell any of the confidential information that we do collect.
We use a third-party (PayPal) to process all payments for our advertising
services. PayPal never discloses credit card, bank or other financial data
to us. PayPal assumes responsibility for protecting the privacy of that
information.
Apart from site advertising opportunities, any other goods and services
that are offered for sale on our site are sold through third-party affiliates.
Those organizations are responsible for order-taking and fulfillment. Most of them
do not provide us with any personal information regarding the buyer. None of them provide us with any financial information about the buyer.
The selling organizations are responsible for protecting any information
that you provide to them during the purchase process.
Most of the information that we collect for our site is
in the public domain, such as Web site names and URLs. Web site owners
can, for a fee, enhance their listings by adding additional
information such as telephone numbers and e-mail addresses. The addition
of any and all of this information is totally optional. Be advised that
if you do choose to enhance your site listing, any information that you
provide as a listing enhancement will be available to the general public.
We do not engage in spam and are strongly opposed to it. However, be advised
that if you include an e-mail address in your listing enhancement, unscrupulous
people who do engage in spam can use automated means to siphon e-mail addresses
off of our or any other Web site. We consider such practices to be a serious
violation of our copyright. In addition, sending unsolicited
e-mail to addresses collected in such a way is illegal in some
jurisdictions. However, we are not technically able to prevent
such illegal activity and, therefore, we cannot guarantee that such techniques
will not be used. If you choose to post your e-mail address on
our site, you do so at your own risk. Your decision must balance your
desire to protect your e-mail address from spam against your desire to make it
easier for people to contact you.
If you set up an advertiser account we ask for your name and e-mail address.
This information will not appear anywhere on the public areas of our site unless you also include
it in your listing enhancement. We ask for it only so that we can contact
you in case there is a problem with your account. As we said at the start,
we never sell or share this or any other information that we collect other
than the listings of existing public domain information
on our site.
Cookies store information on your computer. We use cookies to store logon
information when advertisers sign on to manage their account. This
allows us to carry the logon information throughout a visit so that advertisers
to not a have to sign in again for every new account maintenance activity
that they perform. We do not use cookies to track normal browsing through
our site.
We use third-parties to sell our banner advertising. Their code that we use to include the advertising that they sell
may create cookies that capture some tracking information. Setting your
browser security to block third-party cookies should prevent these cookies
from being created.
